Scientific question: "How?" May someday be answered by empirical evidence.
Religious question: "Why?" A matter of faith and conscience; many opinions as to the answer - none right or wrong.

Two entirely different and unrelated questions.

It made me feel uncomfortable that he did not even ask me if I wanted to talk to him. It was all about him needing to talk to me.
I would have felt the same way and simply told him that I was not interested. If he pushed the issue, I would not have been so polite. I do not appreciate intrusions on my privacy, even in a public place.

I've had the same thing happen with Avon and Mary Kay ladies.

LOL! First thing ctc's said in awhile that made me laugh.

Oh at the end I ask him: "Are you a Mormon because I know Mormons go on missions?" He says: "I belong to a Christian Church and Mormon is just a nickname for it" I thought that was funny.

Not sure I completely agree with the "none right or wrong" part. Seems to me that God(s) either does or does not exist. If God does exist, that God would have certain characteristics but not others. Claims that religions make on that God (ie Jesus is the Son of God, Mohammed is the prophet of God) are either true or false.

We do not, at present, have the available information to "prove" or "disprove" various religious statements, but it seems to me that in theory, at least, a religious claim is either correct or incorrect. Whether we can know that the claim is correct or incorrect- that is another story.

I hear you, Arm-spin, but I don't agree. Does love exist? Maybe, but can you prove it? No, you have to have faith that your partner loves you. God isn't a physical entity like an electron that can be demonstrated to exist even though we can't see it. God only exists as a product of faith. If we someday prove beyond reasonable doubt the big-bang theory, the scientific origin of life, evolution, etc. etc., there will still be the argument of whether these were random events or if they were set into motion by "intelligent design," and the debate will continue. I am very confident, that no one will ever prove (or disprove) the existence of God. And if they did, the concept of faith would go out the window because you don't need faith to believe a scientifically proven fact. And without faith, religion would be nothing special, just another branch of science. But this will never happen because, as I said, science and religion are two completely different disciplines with a different set of criteria - empirical data on the one hand and faith on the other. No amount of data will ever prove or disprove a religious doctrine, and faith alone will never support a scientific principle.

I think it's at least theoretically possible that, some day, emperical data of God might be found. (not that it's happened yet.)You are right that this would drastically change the nature of faith.

If you think that it's not even theoretically possible that some day, some emperical evidence of God might manifest itself, we will have to disagree. And that's ok
