Default Looking at Iraq war from another perspective

Is it possible the freedom fighters in Iraq don't want America to leave? What better way to tarnish America's reputation, drain its resources, and kill its morale than a prolonged war going nowhere? Hmmm........

That sounds like talk radio logic, i.e., it doesn't make sense.

Are you implying talk show logic is ALWAYS wrong?

It absolutely makes sense. What is this talk radio obsession you have?

The longer the Americans wage an occupation in Iraq, the more damage it does to our country. That is simple common sense.

It has nothing to do with talk radio.

How are they freedom fighters if the majority of them do not come from Iraq?

Don't you mean the terrorists in Iraq?

It's ALWAYS suspect, and more often than not wrong.

See, Big, I'm sure you've probably argued, as I have, that the people of Iraq want Americans to go home. But now you're suggesting that they want us to stay, and furthermore that they want us to stay so that we will somehow be hurt. That's not too far removed from Bush's argument that we are attacked because "they hate our freedom".

No but implying that American soldiers are terrorist is right along with some of the Democrats out there.

I am talking about the terrorist who target civilians. I am talking about the terrorists who are not Iraqies. I am talking about the terrorist who are armed and backed by Syria and Iran.

They claim to be fighting for the freedom of Iraq but they kill innocent Iraqi citizens. Sounds like they are really fighting for freedom by killing the people they are supposed to be liberating.

clone,

Civilians in Iraq probably want Americans to leave but the freedom fighters might want to keep fighting.

Chance,

During Reagan administration many foreign fighters and some Afghans also attacked and killed civilians but they were called freedom fighters by the West and CIA helped them.
