The serfs were moving into the cities. In a couple of years, Russia would have no longer been an agrarain society. Read about the peasants moving into the cities.

If you are right, then whose fault is it that Russian peasants failed to see your way and believed Lenin?

Also, the provisional government was made up of former Tzar loyalists. Somehow I fail to see how they would grant equal rights to millions of serfs. This situation was incomparable to a relative minority of slaves in America.

They never listened or believed in Lenin. The reason the Bolsheviks got to power were because of the armed sailors who helped them overthrow the winter palace and germany's finance. Lenin was exiled and none of the peasants even knew who he was. He came at the last moment and overthrew the provisional government. The armed sailors did the dirty work for the bolsheviks and then later when famine began to occcur, they fought back against the bolsheviks. Also, Kerensky's mistake of using the bolsheviks to overthrow Kornilov strengthed their position. Big, in a modern democracy serfdom would no longer have existed. Plus, what happened when Lenin came to power, nothing worse can happen than that. I highly doubt 20 million people wold have died under Kerensky's reign.

Well, I could also argue if the Whites put down their weapons, no blood would be shed. There was a civil war saitiev! Those peasants could easily join the Whites and defeat Lenin. But, as far as I know, the peasants fought bravely and happily for Lenin.

The Whites also very happily received funds from abroad to keep killing the Russian peasants.

And lets get one thing straight. The peasants were only peasants because Russian Tzars didn't give them any rights. Among those peasants could have been very smart people. After hundreds of years of abuse they have had enough with the bourgeoisie. Kill the bastards!

Yah and what happened after. The peasant conditions became way worse under Lenin. The peasants realizes they had made a terrible mistake and everyone one of them regretted fighting for Lenin.

Peasants didn't like the destruction and deaths during Revolution and Civil War but they did not feel it was a mistake to overthrow Tzarist government.

They did not regret fighting for Lenin. Lenin was considered like a God before Gorbachev came to power, not because it was not allowed to say otherwise but because everyone simply felt that way.

Everyone in Russia was saying Lenin had great ideas but Stalin changed things for the worse.

It became popular to bash Lenin after Soviet Union fell. Saitiev, I lived there, right in the heart of mother Russia.

People were forced to say anything or be killed. This is how the system worked.
Big, if you believe that the peasants actually liked Lenin after he took all their land and the conditions under him, then I don't know what else to tell you.
