Spider, Putting a kid between parents is a classless act. Putting her in a position where she must damm one and praise another is just wrong. The kid who asked the question is a smarmy self-satisfied punk. I thought Chelsea handled it very well though.

How does this question put her between her parents? As I said before, the Lewinski scandal was common knowledge to everyone and all over the headlines. Why couldn't she have said something like, "My father is human like everyone else and makes mistakes, and no, I think my mother handled herself very well during that episode; and I love them both very much." End of controversy.

Don't get me wrong - I hate ambush interviews, but by being out there campaigning, Chelsea opens herself up to this kind of thing.

That insulting question is implied (and is in fact necessary) in the context of the actual question asked.

We are accustomed to reporters asking insulting questions. We are not accustomed to hearing insults in response. I would both insult reporters and question THEM.
