No! I am going to a wrestling practice right now too after working! Easter Sunday? No, just a regular day for me.
The most important book will turn out to be Das Kapital. People will deem Marx a genious and a seer.
Big I didn't ask if it was the most important book to you personally nor did I ask if Easter was important to you.
Das Kapital will not ever be the most important book because it isn't important now. It has no wide influence like the bible nor do the majority of people in this world know what it is or about and they don't have an opinion on it good or bad.
You know that not everyone here shares your thoughts on Christianity. How is someone of the Jewish faith (and there are several on this board) or anyone with other beliefs supposed to feel when you say something like that? Why can't you just say Happy Easter to those who celebrate it, and happy beautiful spring day to everyone.

I do think that the Bible is the most influential book ever written, but whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is debatable. I'll head off an obvious reply by saying that it does contain many valuable lessons, and maybe one reason why its influence may be a bad thing is because of people's misinterpretation and twisting of its teachings. I really don't want to get into this too deeply today (but you did ask), so to all who believe in the Bible, Happy Easter. To the rest of us, Happy Sunday.

Why would a Jew be offended by my question? The Bible incorporates the Jewish texts. I do not care about the beliefs people hold or whether or not they like or dislike the bible. My question is straight forward is the Bible or is it not the most important/influential book of in the history of the world? I am not challenging anyone's faith or belief system just asking a question on the historical relevance of the Bible.
But the Bible in it's current form is not really their holy book like it is yours. If you want to stir it all up and ask what people think, I have to say that the Bible is probably the most influential book in history. But like Spider said it's good and bad. Crusades, inquisitions and the like - so much unnecessary loss of life in the name of religion, it's not all Easter Sunday. Sorry to rain on your holiday, but you asked.

So you answered my question and then some. Like I said whether or not it is good or bad doesn't matter to me in this question.
Since you brought it up, more people have been killed in non-christian/religious conflicts than there have been in religious/christian related conflicts. But this is beside the point.
