Default Obama's Spiritual Advisor

Since we recently had a posting about McCain's supposed spiritual advisor, here is a link to a story on Obama's close friend and spiritual advisor.

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4443788&page=1

I get the feeling that Big and Reverend Wright agree on many, many things.

It's also a little disconcerting that two of the people closest to Obama believe that the US is a bad country. Obama's wife said that she just recently (for the only time in her life) was proud of America. Obama's spiritual advisor can't find anything positive to say about America either. They're not talking about the last eight years, they're talking about America in general. I'm wondering how much of this is ingrained in Obama as well.

Makes me a little uncomfortable...

I was just about to start this thread. This guy is nuts and he is a total racist anti-semitic. Barack is now dismissing what Pastor Wright has said about America but he should probably drop him from his staff. This also in my mind partially explains Mrs. Obama's feelings on America. Obama is getting support from people he should be telling to stay away, like Farah Khan. Now I know Obama didn't say these things but if he disagrees so much with this guy, why didn't he leave the church instead of attending for twenty years.

I do agree ( to the dismay I am sure of matclone) that if McCain was sponsored by the KKK and he was about pushing the white agenda he would be a racist. This is a double standard and it scares me if Obama shares the same view as his pastor even if he is dismissing the comments publicly.

Here is a video about his view on the race so far.

This shows why the US may not quite be ready for a black President.

Many white people aren't ready and this shows many black people aren't ready yet either.

Not a chance.

I'll never understand how people can let the media tell them how to think, especially 8 months before the election. This is just another BS 24 hour news cycle hysteria.

What is funny about this is the sexual excitement the Obama haters are getting lately. They really have this delusion that he is going down in flames. If anything, this will backfire as people are sick of the gutter rove-like politics.

Meanwhile, the Iraq debacle is 5 years and going with no end in sight. The economy has been teetering on a complete collapse. The health care system in this country is broken.

But hey, gas is only going for about 3.50 a gallon. Absolutely, this is a perfect time to keep a republican in the White House. McCain brings great vision and energy to the office. Oh yes, he really has us all excited!

So you are delusional. This is not the media telling us what to think, you can watch the videos and make your own assumptions. From what I have seen and heard from this guys mouth he is a nut job who hates America and white people oh and cant forget the jews. If it wasnt as bad as it sounds Obama wouldnt have distanced himself from the comments. Also tell me how the support of a known racist like fara khan helps Obama.

You should look at you polls because the Iraq war has the most support since 2006. I am not a fan of the war but it is a good talking point for McCain and the surge is working by all reputable accounts. I cant wait to get a democrat in the white house, who doesnt want an increase in taxes and more government spending and the government control that comes with the dems. With the almost certainty if they cut spending it will be in the military so if we do have to go to war again we will be even more short handed than we already are.

A guy like this makes me proud that people like that still live in America and have the ball$ to speak out. Whether he is completely right or not is another matter. But he is no more outrageous than Cheney and he is our VP.

Way to go Obama's pastor. Preach it like you see it!

And he is right America had no qualms about poisoning thousands of people in Japan with its nukes regardless of its goal. It was unethical. I know it was all downplayed in America but I learned in Russia how people in those Japanese cities paid for fresh air at special machines like people pay at the gas station. They paid and were able to breathe fresh air for a minute. Their air was diseased. They were diseased. It was not comparable to 9/11. It was a disaster.

All Japanese wanted is oil and there would be no Pearl Harbor. America did not build Japan after WWII. Japan was always technologically innovative and would do very well even without America.
