Spitzer's run into a few moral problems of his own, due to his "involvement" in a prostitution ring. How he can not resign is beyond my comprehension.

I do find it shocking that a democrat has been found with his hand (or any other appendage) in the cookies. Reading these boards, I had almost come to be convinced that only Republicans were lying, morally corrupt weasels.

If you only see the world as us v. them, I can see where you might come to the conclusion that "only" Republican missives are publicized. The Spitzer story kind of blows that theory out of the water, doesn't it?

It's legal in Nevada. Spitzer should have either waited till Vegas or bought a Hustler and a jar of vaseline.

Spitzer is corrupt. His henchmen have been trying to smear the GOP leader in the state legislature for months now. He and McGreevy(sp) can do the NYNJ two-step for all I care.

Spitzer is as stupid as Clinton was...but then again, so was David Vitter; yet that was swept silently under the carpet by the big, bad whacked out liberal media.

UGLY

It is legal in some areas of Nevada, not the whole state. I am torn on legalizing prostitution form a moral stand point but if we did legalize we could clean it up a bit with mandatory std testing and we could tax it. Certainly there would have to be mandatory use of contreception (condoms) and random testing for aids-HIV and other diseases and birth control would also be a must.

As far as Spitzer, he is a big wig and he is paying for sex. At least Bill was getting it for free.

I'd be, like, listen, dude, you really want the sex?''

A law enforcement official said Tuesday the discussion had to do with Spitzer's preference not to wear a condom and the call-girl's insistence that he use one.

Spitzer's vast personal wealth would have made it easy for him to spend thousands of dollars on prostitutes. The scion of a wealthy Manhattan real estate developer, Spitzer reported $1.9 million in income to the IRS in 2006.
