You seem to have all of the answers from your years in the prison system, what's the alternative?

I have none.... shoot or gas them.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not really out to be liked .. or disliked, either. I just chime in my two cents, like everybody else. I only hope that I'm consistent -- at least, I try to be.

How is my suggestion of a strict system where they earn their keep and use reading to occupy their downtime inhumane?

I'm having trouble believing that anything you've written on this thread is genuine.

Is the other one better? I haven't been over there in quite some time - except for an occasional glance when I'm very, very bored.

Boring but not so legitimately cruel.

Dude..... I am often barely hanging by a thread. The only thing that keeps me going is maybe I am helping others, and I have a child to raise. These kind of almost sociopathic discussions really make me wonder, why bother? In the real world I wear my heart on my sleeve. You know this. I am not just trying to get a rise. There seems to be a cruelty here among some that transcends discussion board debate and banter.

I am Scott Gallan. I live in Parker Arizona. My daughter's name is Reni Gallan. She is a stud little wrestler. Spider and Mike Furches know me by voice. You can google me and my daughter and if you go back aways, you can validate almost everything I have said about myself as a real person.

I DO NOT hide behind a screen name. I have always posted as a real person.

Now, you want to suggest who is or isn't genuine? Bring it on asshole..... what do you want to know (or are you one of those chickenshit people hiding behind a screen name)?

You suggested I was lying. I guess maybe in your world calling somebody a liar is no big deal and not an attack.

    Spider -

This is what I mean about (borderline) sociopaths.... they don't really care. I am not wired that way.

Rick, I will have to say that I think gallan is being genuine here. You and I agree on a lot of topics and we tend to think alike on those topics. Gallan thinks about them differently -- hence his different position.

I suppose he'll correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he uses sarcasm sometimes, which can be misleading if you're not expecting it.

But, I think he is being genuine and I think he means everything that he says. He just has a different view of the world than you and I do. That is not to say that either is right or wrong -- that decision is subjective and left up to the individual.

I understand where he is coming from, even though I don't always agree with his conclusions. But, I suppose we're free to disagree if we want to. In the end, I suppose we're human and we may not always think alike. But, I'm glad that we're all a part of a free nation that allows us to voice our opinions and agree or disagree as we see fit.

P.S. -- I agree with the impersonal part of discussion. I think that objective impartiality can only be acheived when emotion is removed from the situation and everyone is subject to the same treatment. I only address posts, not the person who writes them. If I wanted to address people in aprticular, I suppose I would be reading a personals site, not a wrestling forum.

I understand where he's coming from as well. I was seriously asking him a question. It just seemed a bit less than genuine to call me a sociopath, then tell us all how he'd torture and murder anyone who harmed his family, talk about gasing and killing inmates, but then tell me that I'm harsh.

I was trying to figure out which of his statements was genuine and which was meant as sarcasm however in bad taste it was.

Wow I leave you guys alone for awhile and off you go. I have said many times none of this is personal and when the discussion is done it should be left at that.

Scott my question wasnt a trick one I was trying to illustrate a point. That that prison as a detterent doesnt work in its current fashion. If it was so bad people would not be willing to risk their freedom only to return to prison.
