Big is making a mistake with girls. A beautiful girl is a nice thing but everyone knows some girls are for fun and some for keeps. Its simple, beautiful women see themselves as a commodity bought and sold, they will try and get with a rich man because they offer the good looks and the pretty girl on the arm look and he gives her money to waste on crap. The best idea is to get a woman who is good looking but not stunning this way she will make a good wife unless she is a feminist.
Big you are too hung up on beautiful women and everyone knows a rich man can easily get a beautiful Russian girl so....

Things used to be different. You could see a stunning looking Russian girl with a good looking Russian engineer guy

What I am trying to say is that women in communist countries WITH NO ACCESS TO WESTERN COUNTRIES look for different qualities in a man.

Big i think you greatly underestimate the wealth of engineers. Engineering is ranked only below doctors and lawyers for earnings......

Stockbrokers don't make that much more than engineers on average.

Engineering used to be more prestigious than medicine or law in Soviet Union.

Big you should go to Iowa some time. If you go to some of the small towns you will be surprised at what you see. You can go into the bar and find 3 guys. 1 a doctor, another an engineer, and the 3rd who works at Wal-Mart. You won't be able to tell who makes more money and who has the hot wife. In fact I have friends back home that make roughly 15k per year and have hot wives and girlfriends. You can't base everything off of what you see in New York.

Big engineering should be mroe prestigious than doctors and law. Engineering is more difficult and is a hard science. Also we do something useful.

Lawyers are nuisance and leech's. Doctors are the same, they will fob you off with useless advice, condescend you while taking massive pay packets. They are less intelligent, make too much money and generally do nothing of worth.

Doctors are less intelligent and generally do nothing of worth?

So, if you have a medical emergency, do you generally just try to solve it yourself, with your engineering skills?

flop the nuts, the course to become a doctor is easier than that to become an engineer.
When i have medical problems i generally don't see the doctor as the reply is often go home and rest, since the majority of my ailments are muscular skeletal problems.
I think the doctors here get paid mroe money if they see more people so they will just try and get rid of you as soon as possible. To give you a clue of what they are like here, i had a tendon problem with my arm from wrestling my doctor told me to stop wrestling. Not because it is a serious problem, but because why waste my time on something stupid like that and perhaps get injured.

I'm an engineer, and I entirely disagree with that statement.

This is untrue. You can become a mechanical engineer or civil engineer with pretty low grades and an undergraduate degree is normally sufficient to get a job. Here at my school, you can get into Electrical engineering with less than a 3.0 cumalitive. To have a decent chance of going to med school, you are almost always going to have to be in the top 15% of your class, need to do very well on your MCAT, and better be able to portray yourself as a saint within your community.

If you want to talk about the education itself, i don't think there are many engineering programs that are more difficult than an M.D., other than M.D./Ph.D. programs.
