I haven't taken the time to read this entire post, but it would appear that a question was raised by furches, I think, and now it would appear that it transformed into a name calling war. Is this what happens with most of the posts?
If so, why?

(Although some of the Bible literalists might think otherwise). I don't know, or rather care.
If someone wouldn't mind, what the hell is this movie about? I doubt I'll ever get around to watching it, maybe I'll search it online to read a review.
The movie is about the battle to abolish the slave trade in Great Brittan led by William Wilberforce. Based largely on historical fact it is more or less the biography of Wilberforce who also worked for animal rights, rights of children, women and then some. While his religion is a background theme, it is minor to the life of the man and the battle that was largely responsible to the abolishment of slavery, or at the very least, the great reduction of slavery across the globe. To say that Wilberforce did this at a major cost to his life would be a gross understatement.
This is not an action movie, but a historical drama, not for everyone, but for those with some measure of a social conscious, an almost must see as it looks at the single most important event that helped to at the least greatly reduce slavery, but Wilberforce agenda was much greater than slavery. I would assume, that now, as he was then, he would likely be considered a "flaming liberal,? for some of the political positions he took. This is a good portrayal though of one persons efforts to change society, sticking to it, and not giving up.
