This is very pathetic in my view and I am afraid that if they win this ruling eventualy they may try to remove the crosses at Arlington National cemetary and other military cemetaries. Which is a serious concern because if a judge rules these crosses unconstitutional then the ones at Arlington have no protection either and could be attacked as well.
I heard James Dobson railing on the radio the other day about how we were losing Christmas (which, curiously, seemed to include the commercial end of things). Naw. I don't think so. There is nothing preventing you from celebrating Christmas, Ugly, to your heart's content.
Sorry I dont know why my links never work but if you google it you will see.
Clone this has nothing to do with Christmas it has to do with a National Athiests group wanting the removal of Crosses that have been erected in memorium of fallen State troopers. They are chalenging the constitutionality of the crosses. And as I stated before if they do win the appeal or appeals there is a real threat to the crosses in our national military cemetaries.
matclone posted a link of "Christmas under siege" and O'Reily there claims secular people don't like religious opposition to income redistribution through taxation.
Secular progressives realize that America as it is now will never approve of gay marriage, partial birth abortion, euthanasia, legalized drugs, income redistribution through taxation, and many other progressive visions because of religious opposition.
But if the secularists can destroy religion in the public arena, the brave new progressive world is a possibility. That's what happened in Canada.
The typical us v. them bullshit we've come to expect from OReilly. Note how he conflates secular and progressive. One can be secular and hold to right-wing politics. Conversely, one can be religious and hold left-wing politics. But none of that is a reality on TV. To OReilly's faithful, the world is just out to get them.
