The royal family is a powerful ally towards creating ultimately democratic, free countries in the middle east. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I am sure outside of the royal family Saudi Arabia sees us as a means to an end which at the end of the day is a powerful international ally.
The Royal family is also a powerful ally of the donors that give money to terrorists. How else can all the insurgents get funded?
I agree with Big on this one. No reason to be friends w/Saudis.
The reason of course is oil but if so it makes America sound very hypocritical.
