Romney won the debate. Obama look lost. Of course Romney should be able to win an economic debate. President has a record and Romney can promise stuff that is completely unrealistic (i.e. cut taxes, reduce the deficit, increase military and protect Medicare).

What I don't understand is who are the voters that are still making up their minds or able to switch sides? Seems like any partly informed person should know who these guys are and who they are going to vote for at this point.

That middle has always mystified me, but it is true that roughly about 20% of people from each major party always identify themselves as a member of that party, and subsequently vote that way also.

The middle 60% is what we're talking about and mystified by.

And, yes, I am that proud 20% from the democrat party.

I think that it is possible to lower tax rates and eliminate loopholes, deductions restructure capitol gains and corporate taxes and reduce the deficit. I didn't hear Romney claim that he wanted to raise military spending nor did I hear that he wanted to maintain the current status of medicare. But your right he can say anything just like Obama said he would cut the deficit in half in his first term and have us energy independent in 2020. But I think it is clear that Romney crushed Obama and he looked to be in more control over the issues, and he really called out Obama on some stuff that frankly Obama didnt have an answer to., like giving 90 billion in tax breaks to green energy, but crying about the oil company tax breaks.

Anyone seen any "who are you likely to vote for" polling numbers after the debate? I'm dying to see.

I saw a poll that Ohio swung in favor of Romney and Virginia was a statistical tie (counting the error %).

If so, then that's an EPIC swing after just one debate! If I recall, Obama was up nearly 7 points in Ohio on the day that I submitted this thread!
