Thread: A Thought Provoking Film

    Default A Thought Provoking Film

I was recently asked to preview this video to see if it was something that the school that I work for should carry in our library. I gave it a BIG vote of "YES!"

Much of this stuff will seem vaguely familiar to many of you, especially those who are of somewhat "advanced years."

If you have 50 minutes, this is one of the better documentaries that I've seen recently (and I watch A LOT of documentaries).

    Oops...sorry.

The site that I found the link on usually allows people to view free documentaries. I incorrectly assumed that this one worked, but it doesn't.

Oh well, take it from me: a GREAT film!

Thanks! I see from the couple of comments that people are up in arms about the English subtitles. Very little of the actual film is in subtitles, so don't let that scare you.

Just finished watching it. Very good. I actually yelled "HA!" at the end because someone beat the system. But I warn you, Ban, if others watch this you will be labeled as a conspiracy theorist, nut-job, wacko etc... Even though there is clear evidence and proof that everything is true and legit, doesn't matter to some on here.

Yes, but there isn't really anything that is disputable in the film; all of this stuff has happened and still is happening.

A "conspiracy" doesn't always mean conjecture and falsehoods, they can also be true.

I completely agree. But unfortunately there are many, many people who can stare facts in the face and claim it's a lie. Trust me, there are plenty of things like this going on and even when given the facts, the majority of people refuse to believe it. I guess some people are too afraid to admit they are wrong or admit they have been duped so they just keep their heads buried and ears plugged. When you have been raised and indoctrinated to think one way, I suppose it's scary when the real truth is revealed. I had it happen to me and it was very humbling.

planned Obsolescence has been one of the mainstays of the American Economy forever. My cheap ass printer broke and now I simply have no printer . NOT an item I NEED . People (especially kids ) need to learn the difference between WANT and NEED.
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

If your printer quit working then I strongly suggest you watch the film. It will show you how to fix it.
