More parents opting-out of vaccines for their children
When I was young, the belief in science was strong. We learned scientific principles in school. Vaccines, such as those for polio and tuberculosis, saved new generations from debilitating diseases.
It sounds like voodoo doctors and witches are making a comeback. Witness the attack on Darwinism. Witness parents now keeping their kids from taking vaccines. The medicine administered by all voodoo doctors: fear.

BOSTON - Sabrina Rahim doesn't practice any particular faith, but she had no problem signing a letter declaring that because of her deeply held religious beliefs, her 4-year-old son should be exempt from the vaccinations required to enter preschool...
"Do I think that religious exemptions have become the default? Absolutely," said Dr. Paul Offit, head of infectious diseases at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and one of the harshest critics of the anti-vaccine movement. He said the resistance to vaccines is "an irrational, fear-based decision."

I guess the irony is; in the longrun it will probably improve the gene pool.

I've always wondered if there is some link to new baby vaccines and food allergies. Growing I never knew any one with a food allergy, nuts whey, etc. Statistically now about 5% of kids have some allergy, though only 2% at high school age. So it seems the allergy dissapates over time. Still 5% is high. About the only thing you can link throughout that 5% population are the vaccines they get soon after birth and the fake baby milk.

Well, I'm sure you know the problems with the proposition that correlation proves causation. Anecdotally, all us baby boomers were vaccinated. I've never had any food allergies. I trust the doctors on this one.

No argument here...there is just this little coinkidink for those rising in the 80's and 90's. Wasn't there some new shot added to the managerie?
