I may be, but I do believe the more people watch crap like him and others, the worse our society gets. We might as well give Hitler and open mike. - wrassler118

I call you on your foolish statement - how so (and give definate support to your points)?

You must have thought he was really special when he treated some of his female staff poorly, right? Or does that whole 'morality thing' only count when it isn't a conservative icon with the Limbaughs and O'Reilly's getting a pass.

    Just curious.

My standards never vary. I really don't know the story (neither side). I make mistakes too (if that is his case), that doesn't discredit me in everything I say. The statement made by 118 is absolute insanity. I'm looking forward to seeing him support his claim.

I don't read 118 (you can put people on ignore on this board), so I don't know what he said. It wouldn't surprise me if it was over the top ridiculous. But even given that.... the sexual harrassment suit, and eventual out of court settlement, with O'Reilly, is public record... though the details are hidden. But realistically you don't settle such suits that run over a million dollars unless there is something to it. You pay your punishment and move on. And with Limbaugh..... all of those marraiges, the drug thing, well.... that is like the Idaho Senator..... it all rings of hypocrisy.

I will say upfront the many Democrats do the same, and a certain Democratic Congressman from Louisiana is the worst of the bunch of all of them. But you seem to give those you support the benefit of the doubt, while trashing the other side. That - at the very least - suggests a selective morality.

Nope, I have been on record to quickly trash a conservative that has done wrong.

Your proof of O'Reilly isn't proof at all. I don't know what did or did not happen. As I said before, I make mistakes too. Was his "the death sentence". (provided he did wrong, that is)? I do like much of what he says and I do think he does an excellent job of running the show - massive numbers of viewers think the same. He is the "most trusted".

Massive numbers of viewers is a bad thing. It means our education system is failing even more. O'Reilly is the most trusted as Jerry Springer is to the most trusted and WWE is completely real wrestling. Those massive numbers of viewers are whats wrong with this country. Too many morons easily dooped by another big moron.

I always love how these Right Wingers come out with their man-crushes over a dirtbag like O'Reilly, Bush, Limbaugh and the rest of the Right wing trash that live amongst us. And when they do something wrong like committ sexual harrassment, use drugs, drink and drive and whatever stupid thing they do each week, they always claim plain ignorance. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Perhaps O'Reilly's delivery is simple and uncomplicated because he explains both sides clearly. Not everything needs to be muddied up, as some believe. Perhaps the issues aren't as complicated as you're making them out to be in the first place. Not everyone needs to be so self-procalimed highly educated as matclone to understand things. It is really presumptuous to think that you understand life better than anyone else because of your education level. Other posters on this board may have more formal education than you or more life experience than you.

My main beef with O'Reilly is that a lot of his arguments are subjective and he has rejected facts when presented to him, much like the political left he so despises. Facts are so much better at presenting a case than feelings. If I were to watch or listen to him again, he would need to be less subjective and more objective.

Well if he is the most "trusted", and that's all that counts, I have to wonder about your consistancy in the morality you proclaim so loudly. But I've always wondered about that anyhow so I'm not really surprised.
