I can see what you mean by your interpretation, but once the Holy Spirit enters your body, you understand it.

Just like how you found your belief and have a hard time explaining it so that others understand. I just think it has to happen to you. It happened to you in a different religion, but it happened. It happened to me in Christianity. The thing is, if a person doesn't "get it" or is so scarred that they hate it, it is pointless to try and explain it.

I do enjoy these debates, though.
I enjoy the discussions yes. I don't think of it so much as debate as much as explaining a different point of view & hearing different points of view. Sort of therapeutic I think.

No, but Satan did/does. He/it devised it. Counterfeiting is lying.
I guess then several billion people are going to Hell...

This ''answer'' pretty much sums up close minded religeous thinking in a nut shell-IF YOU READ ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE BIBLE OR THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX YOU ARE GOING TO HELL !! If that is the case I hope I burn well.
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

I know you don't mean that Russ. I know you are just angry. Please don't take it out on all of those who follow Christ.

In 553 A.D. the Second Synod [church council] of Constantinople deleted from the Bible Jesus' references to reincarnation-

While souffle did NOT mention HELL he mentioned Satan as the inventor of Buddhism implying anyone who followed the Buddhist Path was in reality following satan and his kingdom is HELL. And WG-I do not take things said like this as faults of ALL true followers-I was born with a brain and free will and intend to use both to discover as much about myself and the world as I can as long as I do not harm anyone or try to convert another to my way of thinking

Don't you think a true follower of any type of enlightenment would want to try to convert folks to their way of believing?

I think when we try to force it upon someone is when the line in the sand is crossed.

There is a difference between discussing facts & expressing opinions.

There is also an exchange of ideas where there are parties agree & disagree respectfully. Then there are those who tell others that their ideas are wrong or worse yet that they are personally wrong.

If someone expresses interest in my beliefs that again is different. As well as when folks are looking to a solution to a problem & you share how to handle it.
