Ahmadinejad's speech Did anyone see it?
I saw the end.
One interesting moment was when he was asked about the persecution of women and homosexuals in Iran. So he proceeded to go on a rant about punishing drug dealers.
The moderator directed him to answer specifically about homosexuality in Iran and he said they don?t have homosexuals in Iran.
The crowd let out a hardy laugh.

Re: Ahmadinejad's speech I didn't see the speech, but from what I've read they hammered him pretty good in terms of questions. He repeated his Holocaust denials, and questioned 9/11. Not much unexpected.

According to this report, he actually said, "In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country"--which gives his statement a slightly different meaning.

lol. If the people of Iran were anything like our Evangelical friends over here, that would be all the more reason to doubt Mr. Ahmadinejad's claim...maybe he is a Ted Haggard counterpart?

Re: Ahmadinejad's speech Nope. There aren't any Evangelical homosexuals. Ted Haggard isn't one- he just paid that guy to give him a backrub, wasn't it? They do have really big closets though.

Re: Ahmadinejad's speech Ted isn't lying -- the back rub may well be all he remembers depending on what was on the table that night.
