Maybe Ahmadinejad needs to widen his stance if he wants to persuade Americans.

If he widens his stance enough, he might learn more about homosexuals than he would like.

It is hard for Ahmadinejad to try to widen his stance when the Columbia President stabs him in the back like that.

Did Iran after that, or did Iraq a little?

I hadn't heard that one before. That's quite a large blanket on your statement. Would you think that all muslims want to blow up the US, or just those one 9/11?

Do you have facts to back up you statement on evangelicals?

How was he stabbed in the back? Bollinger was on record as saying that he was going to be hard on Ahmadinejad in his opening remarks. He sure as F**k shouldn't have been deferential to the murderer. Ahmadinejad is lucky that he was even given the opportunity to speak at a "prestigious" university.

It's really the height of arrogance that he said that they have no homosexuals in Iran. Homosexuals are executed for the crime of being themselves, and Ahmadinejad just took an intellectual crap on everyone in the audience by braying such arrogance.

Big, why can't you ever just agree that someone other than Bush and the neocons are bad guys in the world? What's your stance on executing homosexuals, just for the record?

    Flop,

I am against all killings of humans unless absolutely necessary to defend yourself. However, I despise homosexuals, Muslims and Christians equally.

I agree that this has not been a shining moment for Mr. Bollinger. He caved to pressure and consequently embarrassed himself.

""In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country"--which gives his statement a slightly different meaning."

Maybe. Maybe not. It also occured to me that these comments were made through an interpreter. "Nuance" (if any) may be missing.
