I trust the moderators to use their discretion which has worked so far to keep this forum much more civil than TheMat forums (aka USAWrestlingNation). For their consideration though, I had a PM conversation that night with Ban over on the other forum and he was absolutely trashed, making no sense at all. It was clear at the time that he wouldn't remember the nonsense that he was saying and having known him it didn't seem malicious anyway, just really misguided ramblings. Sure enough, he profusely apologized the next morning and seemed to have practically no recollection of his meltdown.

In my experience there's often some behind the scene behavior between the moderators and the person acting out that goes into a board'd decision to take enforcement action. This exchange usually is kept private so the general community is unaware of the whole picture.

Other viable options are to restrict probationer's posting privileges in certain forums or even restrict them from viewing messages in a forum where they can't interact respectfully with others. Shutting people out of the volital Politcal/Religious forum while still having privileges to post other forums could be considered progressive enforcement and bring a member back in line before receiving a total ban. Of course acts or culmination of acts can be so egregious that no warning or probationary status is warranted.

The moderation here is superior to many sites so I trust community leadership decisions.
