    Default Accentuate the positive.

You...... Have..... To..... Accentuate the positive, eeeeliminate the negative, latch on, to the affirmative, and don't mess with mister inbetween. lol 10 points if you can name the song.

The washington post says that they will only publish positive ads on President elect obama. The news it seems like will not let anyone say anything negative about the guy, yet the same media has a field day when a shoe is thrown at the current president. Any comments?

"If Thomas Jefferson thought taxation without representation was bad, he should see how it is with representation." appropriate words from Maha Rushie himself.:walkman:

    "Expect great things"

I'm not the sharpest blade in the drawer, so maybe I'm missing something.

If it says, "Send a personal message of congratulations to President elect Obama..." (which it does), I guess I can't help but wonder how an insult or something negative is a message of "congratulations."

Either way, there will be at least four years to get our shots in at him. There's plenty of time, even though it seems that 20% of our population has already begun, even if he isn't even in the White House yet.

I don't see where it says that they'll only publish positive articles about Obama.

I also don't remember seeing any "ads" either positive or negative related to the shoe incident.

    I'm all for this idea.

I think the media over did it on bashing Bush.

I'm not saying he didn't deserve some of it, but much of it was over the top sensationalism.

All that does is weaken our image throughout the world.

I'm not saying to hide the truth, but at least be semi-fair.

It's not wonder there is so much anti-Americanism around the world.

Mark my words, in 20 years, history will show Bush got a bad rap in many ways.

Anyway, I hope Obama is treated more fairly...for everyone's sake.

I'm not sure how this will happen. I tend to think that after 20 years of checking into things, we'll find that it was much worse than we thought.

Maybe the flip side of this is that the rest of the world will envy a country whose citizens are free to publicly criticize those in power without fear of punishment (except in the Nixon and Blagojevich administrations).
