So by this I'm to assume that only the socially and economically dominant race can be racist? Come on clone......so you're saying that minorities can't be racist?

Racism comes from someone in a position of power and it causes harm to the intended person(s). You figure it out.

During my military life, specifically life in the enlisted bachelor quarters, I remember several instances where certain black people made comments to the effect that I didn't belong there (e.g., when I was visiting black friends). If I wanted to be childish and small-minded about it, I might proclaim them as racists. But in the larger context, I suffered no harm.

BTW, the term nappy headed is in reference to fuzzy or kinky hair. I have a jewish friend who has the type of hair that could be called nappy. Actually one could say that Ben Askren is pretty nappy headed.

You could, but as I said before, I've never heard the term applied to a white person. It seems Imus was quite clearly referring to a group of black women.

I saw coach Vivian Stringer (a black woman) and several players on ESPN last night. They clearly expressed offense at Imus's remarks. I think it's funny that Rush and the entire talk radio nation get to decide that they should not be offended--as if they're the arbiters of such matters. It's another way of saying: "women, get back in your place".

Almost every wrestling photo I saw of Vegas this weekend showed a tattooed wrestler. Tattoos are not really that uncommon for men anymore. But is it a sign of sexual immorality for women, Big? Tattoos mean they could be Hoes? That's pretty dated thinking - but then, Imus is old enough to remember when it was truer than it is now.
There was a photo in the Tribune this morning and they looked pretty sweaky clean to me. Maybe they looked a little rougher on the court, but you could say that about any sport.

I think Imus 15 minutes of fame are over now.

How's the weather everyone? It really sucks here. 2" of snowy slushy stuff this morning.

IMO Tattoos are like sex. If a man sleeps with 10 women, he is a stud. If a woman sleeps with 10 men, she is a slut.

Oh by the way, none of these postings are my own thoughts or inventions. I just go by how society works. Making an example out of Imus while the rest are laughing at the whole fiasco seems kind of foolish.

Hey ugly, those deflateable women could never take my bigness.......

I don't agree with your definition - why does power have anything to do with it? I guess you're explicitly stating that minorities in the US cannot be racist?

Then you and the Rutger's team have something in common. Neither one of you suffered any harm.
