If you want to buy into that myth then have at it that is your choice but it is just silliness and oversensitivity to claim that the billboard is calling anyone an idiot.
It always irritates me (sorry coach) when people look at a miraculous story like that of the virgin birth and say 'it physically can't happen". That's kind of the point of a miracle, God doing something that doesn't happen naturally.

And now, sensing this thread is spiralling a never-ending-pointless-argument direction, I'm off to do laundry

Something may be offensive or in bad taste, yet still be true (Your wife is ugly). The issue here isn't who is correct, but whether the sign is in bad taste. I feel that it would have been more appropriate at another time. It may have more impact during the Christmas season, but why intentionally rain on someone's parade? I do, of course, believe that the sign is correct.

Who said it shook my faith? I just said it was rude. You're tilting at windmills here. I never said the billboard should be torn down, I never said atheists should be flogged for putting up the billboard/not believing in God, I simply said it was a douchebag move.
That billboard is not in anyway a douch/asshole move. I think coming on a forum and claiming it is is a douche/asshole move. I cannot believe some people want to come on here and cry about the fact that some people who's beliefs are almost never seen actually get them out there for once.

It always irritate me (sorry arm-spin) when people who believe in these myths, try to act like it is an actual fact when the evidence for all to see is completely and undeniably to the contrary. Not a single piece of irrefutable evidence exists that a any person has ever given birth to a child without the contribution of two people of the opposite sex. Those who are asking people who use their reason should suspend it a believe something that violates all laws of nature should understand the reason many people cannot accept that.

Agreed spider, and in each of those cases, it is not an attack on anyone.

It seems to me that there is a constant decay in common decency and selfishness anymore---and it's picking up speed.

From the fanatical religious group protesting at the funeral of the KIA to this group posting the billboard. In my opinion the motive is to provoke shock and cause pain/trouble in others rather than to truly promote their beliefs. This path sickens me anymore.

So where have all the flowers gone? Who cares I guess We no longer have trolls on message-boards but they have infiltrated our daily lives...no shock they are on billboards now too.
