I have to get an A or a B in order to get my tuition reimbursement, so it's not just casual learning for me either.

that sucks, especially if the departments are anything like the hardsciences here where they stick to a bell curve with a C being exactly average.

I think I can get a B or better on the basis of being a creative person and having a lot of Photoshop experience - I already know that part of the equation. At my job we've learned that achieving all the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year will not get you a raise, you have to exceed your goals.

My senior year of high school I took an independent art class where I pretty much did what I wanted. I'm not an artistic person, but I took it b/c my wrestling coach was the art teacher. They stuck me in the photography class which was 100% girls, 50% of which were pretty hot. I was pretty much in heaven. But since I wasn't much for art I payed more attention to the photography class goin on around me. At one time I could tell you just about anything there is to know about cameras and the lighting and all that fun stuff. I also learned that a dark room can be a fun place when your in a class full of girls...

I must say I do miss taking my philsophy, ethics, and rhetoric classes in college! I learned a lot especially in rhetoric. This is the start of year two after college and in the work force... definately missing school.

It would have been a good zinger, but you must keep in mind I was in the independent art class, not part of the photography class going on at the same time. Good try though.

When you have some time, go back for some sort of graduate degree. When I went back, I found myself looking forward to learning something new in every class. I had a much different attitude in grad school than undergrad.
