More than you probably ever wanted to know (and more than I wanted to know).

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAMBLA

Short version: gays who advocated removing age limits on consensual sex (but note gay groups who will have nothing to do with them). As expected, they went nowhere with this.

I see they reportedly had a high membership of 1,100 at one time, but now, for all intents and purposes, have ceased to exist. Yet they live on: in the fears and the smears of right-wing media.

No, they haven't ceased to exist, they just don't advertise their membership. Do you think that the members of that group wish to be known and counted? Some might, but the majority of them would prefer to remain anonymous.

    Wiki sucks, by the way.

Isn't "marriage" primarily a religious ceremony, with certain governmental benefits and penalties? Marriage has always been between a man and a woman, why should we change the plain meaning of the word?

FWIW, I don't really care much if they change the meaning of the word, but it bothers me that traditional words and values have become perverted over the years to become almost meaningless nowadays.

If marriage is a religious ceremony, then how come 50% of those married in America get divorced and the number one cause of divorce is MONEY problems. For richer, for poorer...blah blah blah... I think that is how it was supposed to go. Give me a break.

And most of the clebrities we adore so much were married AT LEAST twice.

No, they haven't ceased to exist, they just don't advertise their membership.

As an organization, they've ceased to operate, unless you have evidence to the contrary. I'm sure, however, there are men who still want to have sex with boys. Alot of them are sitting in jail as we speak.

But let's bring this all back to the issue at hand: the smearing of Pelosi by association. McCarthy did this in the 50s, and we were supposed to learn a lesson from it. Apparently, some found the lesson to be: it still works! Some people just swallow this crap hook, line, and sinker. Yet others, who should know better, apparently find such tactics acceptable.

You guys are all about smear and denigration, which means you're not focusing on the real problems that we as a society face. - clone

Pelosi went "bananas" when Republican Foley was uncovered. If sexual conduct with kids bothered her so much (obviously only when political gain is at stake), then why did she march with the "I love young boys" pervert being honored as Grand Marshall? Pelosi has been her own worst enemy.

"you're not focusing on the real problems that we as a society face"

Sexual crimes against our children are a major problem. I would be hard pressed to find more important issues than that.

PS Just Google "Pelosi gay parade" for lots of references.

Whatever, ctc. It's clear you're in lockstep with any argument presented on talk radio, period--oblivious to the fact that there's someone poking you in the back with a needle.

I haven't listened to "talk radio" in over 10 years. You get cornered without a leg to stand on, so, you resort to your best defense - character assination, catagorize me as a stupid boob. I won the argument and you will not admit defeat. Pelosi is bad news. Child sexual abuse is a big, horrible, growing issue of major importance.

That's the problem, ctc. You see this as an argument. An argument to be won or lost instead of a conversation. Everything here is not meant to be an argument.
