    No hoax.
    In 1976, driving back from California, and somewhere in the middle of Nebraska, we were motioned over by a state trooper. My girlfriend was driving and I was layed out sleeping in the back seat. Officer Brower, appropriately named, also flagged over an 18 wheeler. He told us that we were clocked speeding by a plane and pointed it out as it flew low north of us. I took over the wheel and both the truck and I were directed to follow him. We ended up off the highway at a gas station where we placed the fine, in our case something like 60 dollars, into an envelope he provided, sealed it up, and placed it into a mailbox that was sitting right IN the station. I used leftover Amex travelers checks that I had purchased for the trip. Funny, I had my ears open and the trucker was charged more than us though he was doing 68 while we had been well over 70. 55 MPH was the limit back then courtesy of Jimmy Carter.

    To Answer my own question I would choose either a bone in Rib-eye or a porterhouse, either one cooked medium rare.

    A regional chain called Brown Derby used to serve a thick 12 oz. super top sirloin. That was my all-time favorite. I would order it butterflied, which gave the broiler cook a break, since it was so thick that even medium rare would take a while to cook. Nowadays I prefer prime rib when I eat out.
