Please... someone explain what a president SHOULD be doing, but isn't, during this crisis. Flop the Nuts has (if I remember correctly) provided some ideas, but no one else. And a vague term like "lead" explains nothing.

Co-party boss Sean Mcveigh Hannity referred to his audience as "Tim McVeigh wannabes." The audience applauded that they were referred to in that way. That I KNOW is all over youtube.

Is SSN run effectively. Well, yes and no. It has done what we wanted it to do (and then some), but too many hands have dipped into it, so, of course, it isn't run effectively in that way. The future of it is still a mystery though.

Again, who cares? Let's solve the problem. My home was flooded almost exactly to the date two years ago. Yes, we could have sat back and cried and moaned and blamed people and our own selves for why and how this occurred. You know what made more sense in the immediate? Fix the problem that we were experiencing, which we did.
Ban did you actually listen to what Rush said and the point he was trying to make, if you did and still think what you said above then i suggest you listen again and this time "listen to understand" instead of "listening to hate".

In regards to Sean's message at the end, i think it would be fairly obvious to every one out there the amount of sarcasim he was using. hell even the liberals in the who were posting to the video were able to see that. Keep grasping at those straws.

So it doesn't matter that Obama is not leading? So when your home was flooded you could have sat back and blamed other people like Obama and the Dems or doing, but you decided to do what the Bobby Jindal is doing and try to act. Gotcha thank you for clearing that up for me. I apologize for my spelling.

Edit: I apologize for the above just got a little worked up. At first i was just trying to explain why people were getting upset with Obama. I think we agree that this just needs to get fixed and that includes Obama, the Rebublicans, and others to stop pointing fingers

He should be visible through this process and not be forced to change to go the the Gulf. His detachment from this crisis (at least publicly) is leading people to think he doesn't care and that music awards and everything is more important. Sometimes the people just need someone who is visible and willing to calm their nerves. Can he put on a cape and fix the leak? The answer is no. But instead of launching investigations people want to see him work with BP to fix this.

He is a great public speaker and can move crowds.....people would feel better with news and updates coming from their president instead of BP. I don't think many people actually believe he is at fault for the mess but are upset that about how he is reacting to it.

I know that isn't very specific but if i had all the answers then i would be running this country and that would be scary

He's been making speeches on the issue pretty much daily since it happened. The president saying they're working to clean it up doesn't make for as good of a news broadcast as the BP CEO stuffing his foot in his mouth.

Exactly. He's got an Admiral from the U.S. Coast Guard in charge of the operation. They've already said that they've brought in every boom that could get their hands on to try to contain the spread as much as possible, plus they've got as many skimmer boats as they can get doing that job. He's been to various parts of the Gulf numerous times to try to let people know that he's on the ground and it's a priority.

However, there are plenty of other problems still with the economy, the two wars (we're still having issues in both), North Korea, etc. So, he is doing what all good leaders do. He's delegated the task of clean up to the top guy in the Coast Guard. He's also already made plans to change the way the government regulates the drilling and collects the moneys from the oil companies. Which shows that he's not just involved in keeping the pressure on BP to fix this and compensate those who the spill is affecting, he's doing what he can to make sure it does not happen again.

I know that for some, he will never do enough. However, I think he's doing all that he can, given the situation.

As for Bush and Katrina. I don't blame him for the hurricaine. That's just stupid. I do, however, blame him for placing an imbecile like Brown in charge of FEMA, which just showed poor judgement and poor delegation skills. One man can't do it all in the executive branch. But, one man makes the decisions about who handles the specifics and Bush failed in that respect.

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/deepwater-bp-oil-spill

If you scroll down, the link details exactly what each federal department is doing to assist in the operation. It seems like it's pretty close to "all hands on deck".

I don't think that there's any other way to take comedian/co-party boss Rush Koresh Limbaugh's comment. He thinks that the Branch Davidians and Koresh need to be honored.

As for co-party boss Sean McVeigh Hannity, the problem lies in his audience applauding when they were being referred to as "McVeigh wannabes." They had no idea of the sarcasm, and eveen if they did, why would they applaud it?

However, I just get more joy out of beating co-party boss Sean McVeigh Hannity at his own game and using his own words against him to fit my own depiction of him that I'm trying to present. He's made millions off of that for years, so why shouldn't I have fun with it?
