    Default Immigration issue heating up

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36735281/ns/politics

It is always nice to hear from someone who sits in an ivory tower as to how you should deal with your problems or who ridicules you for making decisions to help yourself and those around you. Which is what Obama is doing when he speaks out against this bill in AZ, he has no idea what an uphill battle illegal immigration is in AZ and never will. That state like all border states need to take up the cause for themselves considering that the federal government is not going to. I dont know that I agree with the bill in full but I do believe that the politics has got to be taken out of it and the law enforcement needs to be free to do its job. Clearly AZ is being overrun with illegal immigrants and needs to make a serious stand against it.

I saw that story on the news and from what I understand about the bill (probably very little), I don't see how its implementation can possibly avoid racial profiling. Of course this raises the question of whether racial profiling too much a price to pay to fix what appears to be a major problem. If I lived in a border state, maybe I'd feel differently about it. I certainly don't think racial profiling is inappropriate in identifying terrorists on airlines. If I were middle-eastern looking and were singled out for security checks time after time, I wouldn't be pissed off at the TSA people, I'd be pissed off at the middle-eastern terrorists who created the problem.

That is true Spider and I see what you are saying. However is Phoenix the police and sheriff are already being accused of racial profiling because of the number of arrests made of illegal immigrants. The reason so many illegal aliens are being arrested is because as of now nearly 50% of all violent crime in maricopa county (which encompasses Phoenix) is committed by illegal aliens.

It is a real issue in the southwest and the states have to do something.

Maybe all these politicians should just stop interfering with the free market.

I agree with you too, Sully. Get the politicians out and let the local police arrest these illegals. Like you said, it shouldn't come down to politicians.

Enforcing existing laws doesn't have anything to do with the free market.

You're not equating the free market with open borders are you?

I can tell you from someone that lives in Phoenix, it is getting to be a real problem down here. I personally have had multiple hit and runs on my car from illegals, known people who were robbed by illegals (yes they caught them), and that doesn't even count the illegal on illegal crime that rarely gets reported.

I think Arizona is sending a message to Washington saying hey if you won't do anything we will.

Or someone sitting up in lily white Littleton making judgements of something he knows nothing about.

Figures that the disgustingly hypocritical repubs are all for big government when it comes to big brother controlling people.

How do you people even look in the mirror? Are you all that brain dead?

Hey Chance, you sound like a shitty driver. Glad you ain't out here. We have enough already.
