    Default Obama, GOP go toe-to-toe

I have to hand it to President Obama for doing this. I don't know the history of such events, but a televised Q&A session with the Republicans has to be a bit nerve racking.

He did well in defending his positions, however, I think his attacks on Health Care proposals from the right being "impossible to realize" are a bit goofy. The proposal from the left is just as "impossible to realize" and that is why nothing close to what either side has proposed will come to pass.

I like him for doing things like this though, it's definitely something that would have been a comedy reel on SNL if Bush had done it at different points in his career.

I give him props for doing this. I agree, the proposals from the right were easy to do, and anything but impossible.
I pictured you as that guy Gaylord in Showboat, passing up taxis to walk because he's broke and playing it off as if it's the doctor's advice. - Clmetal

Nothing major will happen in health care...... ever. Those who have it don't want it messed with and don't really care about those who don't have it. Those who don't have it, they can just go to the ER for something real, or even imagined, get what they need done, and scripts for whatever meds they need (in my case I can fill them cheap in Mexico), and blow off the bills. And if you have insurance you just blow off what the insurance company doesn't pay. It's what I did. That is the system, it is what we want, and since I have learned how to work it, it works for me. It may cost everybody some in higher premiums but that isn't my problem, just as my not having insurance isn't anybody elses problem - save perhaps for some higher premiums.
