Dems lose Kennedy seat.
It isn't official yet but it looks like Republican Brown will win the seat that has been an easy Democrat seat for fifty or so years. While this is a special election I think that it points to the serious dismay that even Democrats have with the President and the democratic congress. I think if we project this ahead to the midterm elections the Democrats will certainly lose their majority and their power, which I am happy to have happen. I believe it would be much more prosperous for our nation to have each party in control of either the legislative or the executive not one in control of both. Who knows if the Republicans take over maybe just maybe they could help Obama salvage his less than stellar Presidency like they did Clinton's.
One negative I see happening from this is that the Dems will force health care because they know this is their last chance for a long time to get it done, because a vast majority of people do not want it.

MSNBC has an article stating that the stock market rose as it became more apparent that the Republican would win. This is also the second time Obama has campaigned for someone and they have lost, that's not good for him.

I think people in massachusetts have sent our government the clear message that they do not want universal healthcare! or at least that would be the message if they didn't already have universal healthcare up there...
There's no such thing as a pretty good aligator wrestler.

I was being sarcastic, Massachusetts has universal health care (a plan similar to the one in congress - everyone has to buy insurance, subsidies for poor people) and I don't think there is much of a push up there to get rid of it.

This is the hypocrisy of the Cosmo model. He doesn't want to touch Mass health care.
Ridiculous.

Not real accurate my friend. Obama came in with 12 seconds left in the match needing a 5 point move.

I'm see what you're saying WuW, but not sure I agree. Didn't the dems lose in New Jersey and Virginia just a few months ago? That would make this three in a row. I've said it before, they are making the same mistakes that the republicans made in 2006. They need to quit discounting the public and start listening to what they are complaining about.
