The NFL is a private business enterprise and they can do whatever they want.

This is just a small sample but I'm sure you'll spin it well.

Here's a more recent one you can spin.

    Thank you for providing links.

the most recent was actually one of the 20 or so shows i actually listened to. The story leaves out the majority of the conversation both before and after. This is a typical tactic used by both liberals and conservatives to take one line, blow it up, and create a different story. If you want to see the rights version of doing this go to www.wnd.com... it's kind of funny. this story and the stories on www.wnd.com are both spin.

If the top 10 are not in the same category then that is VERY disturbing.

There could be some players revolt but don't you think they will end up playing for him to continue to get paid the big bucks (if he ends up owning part of the team).

Also for the record i think Rush is arrogant, a know-it-all, and a smartass which usually get's him in trouble.

I would disagree, this is all politics. The spin game works for both side WuW. The left likes to take things out of speach/show and spin them into something completely different just as the right likes to do the same.

On another not he could be racist who knows. I know you found some quotes and are constantly on the lookout for stuff on the right. Do you know of a site out there that actually has the transcripts of his shows?

A lot of players are saying they won't play for him, which is of course their right, so in that matter, perception becomes reality as to Limbaugh's racism. I have never, not once, listened to Limbaugh, so I can't testify one way or the other.

As to whether he'll get approved by owners, I have to disagree with Washed Up Wrestler. According to ESPN yesterday, Something like 30 of the 32 owners in the league identify themselves as Republican and contributed to Republican candidates. I'm not sure what the voting process is, but unless it requires complete unanimity, Rush shouldn't face backlash for his politics from the owners.

They may be Republicans, but this is a business decision for them. Bad press for any team, and for the NFL in general, is bad for every team's business. I would guess a lot of owners, despite being Republicans, won't vote for him because of the backlash against him that would create and unwanted/unneeded headache and distraction. I could definitely be wrong though. I guess well see.

Not a single player on the Rams no matter their skin color would revolt. Each and every one of them would continue to cash their checks. I listen to Rush almost every day and every comment on that top 10 list is one line taken out of context. If you honestly think that Rush is a racist take the time and do some research--listen to his show everyday for a couple of weeks, don't just cherry pick comments, listen to what he says before and after them. I once heard him do a parody bit for nearly an entire hour.

Don't think you can know someone through sound bites and show excerpts.

In the end the NFL will make their decision based on two things.
    1. Publicity, will the owner(s) bring us publicity? Good? Bad?
--I'm not sure how they'll classify the publicity that Rush brings but the fact that he has the largest listening audience in the US and is on the air for 3 hours a day definitely means publicity
    2. Money, will the owner(s) generate money for the league?
--I think that Money is even more important that publicity. Even bad publicity can generate revenue.

Well, he's down one vote already, although I think Irsay may be one of the Democrat owners.

The comment from washed is exactly why I stay out of Limbaugh and race threads. (rolls eyes)

This is about racism. You can use the weak excuse of politics but this is common sense-something that is lacking in today's right wing republican party.

Rush Limbaugh is clearly a racist....and a drug addict to boot.

Do you get dizzy from all that spinning?
