DALLAS - Federal prosecutors arrested a 19-year-old Jordanian national and charged him with trying to bomb a downtown Dallas skyscraper. He was the second suspect to be arrested this week on charges they intended to blow up buildings.

Men accused of plotting to attack and kill personnel at Marine base
RALEIGH, N.C. - Two North Carolina terrorism suspects plotted to kill U.S. military personnel and one of them obtained maps of a Marine Corps base in Virginia to plan an attack, prosecutors said Thursday.
A superseding indictment returned against Daniel Patrick Boyd and Hysen Sherifi is the first time authorities have said the homegrown terrorism ring had specific targets. Prosecutors said Boyd "undertook reconnaissance" of the base, about 30 miles south of Washington.
Investigators Still Hunting for Bomb Materials of N.Y. Terror Suspect, Officials Say
Federal authorities have accused Afghan-American terror suspect Najibullah Zazi of purchasing chemicals and equipment used to make homemade explosives, the same materials used in the 2005 bombings of London's subway and bus system, according to court documents made public on Thursday.
But, NEWSWEEK has learned, investigators have not yet recovered all the explosives components they accuse Zazi of purchasing. Two counterterrorism officials close to the investigation said recovery of the materials was part of the "ongoing investigation."
In similar case, 29-year-old accused of trying of plot in Illinois
In the Illinois case, a 29-year-old man who idolized American-born Taliban soldier John Walker Lindh was arrested after attempting to detonate what he thought was a bomb inside a van outside a federal courthouse, officials said.
Michael C. Finton, also known as Talib Islam, was arrested and charged in a criminal complaint with one count of attempting to murder federal officers or employees and trying to detonate a weapon of mass destruction.
