Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Obama accepted an apology from Wilson yet the dems feel the need to act on this issue. Must be a slow week on capitol hill, you know with all that agreement on health care, Afghanistan and the economy.
Really stupid overplaying a hand like that.

    2. It's not all Dems. Your beloved Nancy Pelosi is quoted in the article as saying that they should just move on to the important debates, leaving this issue behind.

Bottom line: There's just always going to be people, especially politicians, who want to grandstand. This is it, as was Joe Wilson's disrespectful outburst, as well as the Dems during the Bush State of the Union. So there ya go.
Wilson took it just a little too far, and everybody knew it; including Wilson. But hey, he apologized, and it was excepted, so that should be the end of it.

I agree completely. No need to waste time on this petty stuff.

If they continue to make minor mistakes like this the dems could lose a lot of seats in the both houses a year from now. It all adds up along with the big stuff and the swing voters might swing back the other direction.

Not if the Republicans aren't doing anything to capture the public back. They may get a few seats back, but unless the Republicans make a big move, they're not likely to get a big swing in their favor.
Jacob Schlottke---Gone too soon, and the world is a little less bright because of it. RIP, brother.

Great point, he made a stupid mistake, apologized and it should be over. This isn't the first time somebody went a little too far on the floor and it won't be the last.
