I just seem to remember you griping about how judges shouldn't look to other parts of the world for precedent. Seems like you are cherry picking what to take when it suits your wants. If that wasn't you, then I apologize, but I'm pretty sure it was.

As far as your response, another way to phrase that would be we are taking the worlds better care of their citizens as a standard of our own. Other industrialized countries don't have the uninsured problem we do. Right now that is uniquely American. Luckily, it seems like that may soon be changing.

Firstly I am the person who said those things about foreign courts. I am not cherry picking anything, I was simply pointing out that it was no big deal. I dont think it was and for comparison we can look at the HOC to see that.

Secondly, I would challenge you to prove that health care anywhere in the world is better than ours. I dont think you can do it. The united states has the best health care in the world, the best Dr's and the best equipment.

Best for some. Not best for all. That's the problem, Ugly.

I challenge you to find somewhere where I said that our health care isn't the best in the world. The problem is that there are millions of people who can't get it. That is what is better elsewhere.

I took this to mean that you thoght other countries had better health care.

Millions are uninsured and we need to change things in the system and I have said that many times. I am against the quality of health care that the overwhelming majority of people who are insured have going down.

The quality is good, but the cost is crazy. I just got the bill for a physical for my 18 year old. $180. 15 years ago or so I paid $40 for a physical. Pretty sure my income has not quadrupled in those years. Same insurance as then but way more out of my paycheck now and way more restrictions on coverage.

LOL... I LOVED it when he guaranteed it wouldnt increase the deficit and that if it did he would "make" Congress cut spending elsewhere.

That what I call a "The check is in the mail" statement.

Based on what you said Bonnie we should be looking into why the prices have risen so much and look to fix that issue....Which plans have been given in this area but dismissed in Congress because it didn't line up with their goal of universal healthcare.

But if you think about it $180 isn't really that bad for a once a year expense...although I also wish it was cheaper.
