This is where you will be at if the current bill goes through. It will mirror the system in Oregon.

If you want to beat the system, try this little didy. All you have to do to keep yourself legal is attempt to pay on these bills. So just send $1.00 and tell them you cannot afford to pay any more. They cannot legally go after you because you are making an attempt to pay. If they are smart, they will then write your debt off as a bad debt expense.

That would actually work for me....... credit card companies love me even with the bad medical bills credit. I still get offers almost daily. I'd just except them all, and live it up, until I couldn't live it up anymore. I figure I'd have well over $100,000 to spend. My last few month in Kauai...... yeah, I could do that.

I watched the video.

He said that the 85% of Americans who "earned" their health care will be punished by supporting the 15% that don't earn insurance.

Doesn't he know that the 85% is already paying for the uninsured in a very inefficient and expensive way?

I'd like to ask one of these hardliners if they are willing to close all hospitals and ERs to the uninsured.

Until we are willing to let the uninsured die in hospital parking lots when they are sick or injured, we need to find a better way to pay for them.

I don't know enough about this issue to know if Obama's plan is the best solution, but something needs to be done.

If this guy doesn't like Obama's plan, let's hear his solutions.

Not just the uninsured either. I literally have 12 (maybe 13 or more - I lost count) collection agencies calling me for different bills for Reni, and she is insured. Guess what? I have no intention of paying any of the bills. I can't afford them and have learned as long as I keep my credit card credit pristine; I still have good credit. Guess who gets to pay these bills in a screwed up sysytem..... everybody. Ironically, since Reni is insured, that includes me.
