Bullshit. Quit living in these so-called polls. Your beloved party never offers solutions, just violence.

Obama will win the day and you clowns will still be deep in the forest. Doncha get it....the repubs are dwindling to nothing but a bunch of redneck racists. You'll go the same way as the right wing fundies. Marginalized my friend, marginalized.

I guess the polls are only good when they say what you want. Where is this violence, the only violence I saw was from the left in St. Louis...keep listening to the bullshit you are being told instead of actually doing some research on your own.

Lol...it wouldn't be a thread if you didn't call Republicans racist.

And just for the record Republicans have offered solutions but in they never make it out committees controlled by the angry left. You probably like that though.

WTF are you talking about...... there isn't even a "set" bill out there. See, this is what I am talking about, folks who are making the noise care far more about the politics than actual people like Reni and I. They make all that loud noise and they have their frickin insurance. While I won't "shoot" anything up, I can promise you I would get in peoples faces if they are "just" disrupting. And while on a wrestling board I am not that tough, most wrestlers do really well in those confrontations against angry old white guys.

Oh, and you don't have to worry about me for long I suspect..... with a blood pressure rate of around 230, and an incredibly upsidedown collesteral level, and being 49 years old, with no health insurance, and astonishing amounts of stress (there is NOTHING worse than really bad things happening to a child - most parents NEVER recover when one dies or becomes permenantly disabled),I am a walking heart attack or stroke.... it's just a matter of how soon. And that is NOT hyperbole..... that is reality. But it is obvious for many people the politics - or I got mine so screw you - counts more than people.

FWIW, and this isn't hyperbole either...... I hope it is a stroke, and I hope my medical bills run into the millions, because if this is the system you support, then I suppose I should put a little effort in sticking you with this bill, because nobody can get anything out of me..... I don't have anything.
I am 49, bald, ugly, and don't own a single cool thing. Kids like me though.

    Sgallan,

I was hoping you would respond today. I have been thinking about my post earlier and I hope you don't think I am attacking you or your family. I have been through a lot medically with myself and my family and would never wish that on anyone. I have no clue to what you are going through as I do not have a child but unfortunately I have been through a lot with very close family members with and without insurance.

There are parts of the bill available online which you can read for instance I believe it is on page 72 that says the congress will maintain their current healthcare and not take part in the nationalized plan.

What do you think this healthcare plan will do (either positive or negatively) for you and your family?

I like when concerned citizens, like myself, voice our opinions to this plan to our representatives and we're labeled as mobs, nut jobs, racists, tea-baggers, etc. If any of you think that debate was civilized during the founding of this nation, then you need to take a few history lessons. What you're seeing is an uprising, some of which is sponsored by the Reps and dems, but you have to give some of this validity as the people of this country has simply had it. Not just with Dems, but with the Reps as well.

Our healthcare system is very inefficient. But to say that Obama's plan is any better is laughable. Sgallan, if we were under Obama's plan right now, you may be considered too high a risk for the government to spend the kind of money necessitated to cure you or ease your discomfort. Or, if they would start a treatment plan, it would cost us tax payers gobs of money anyway. So, in the end, it's a lose lose proposition for the tax payer.

If you want to make a significant cost savings in the medical industry, you need to shore up the boarders and stop the illegals from receiving unpaid medical treatments. Look at the processes for medical records and surgeries to minimalize medical malpractise. Put a cap on profits associated with hospitals and what they charge for items, labor, admin fees, etc.

ANyone who has been in the military, knows what a government run health care system is like....and I'm here to tell you all that it is God Awful! Times that by 10 or 20 because of overpopulation in some areas in relation to the controlled popoulation of a military base. You people who are FOR this plan, have no idea what is about to hit you. None.

    Neither do you.

You might want to check into how Bush cut funding for military health care. Then again, if Bush didn't start a war against Hussein maybe the system wouldn't be so overloaded. Check it out.

I will second you on the military health care. Even better if you want to see how the government will treat you, see those soldiers who lost limbs or were seriously injured in war but the government is finding ways to deny them the care they need. I say once the Government figures out a way to take care of those military persons then maybe they should take a look at trying to run our health care.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Ask many of the veterans from WWII or Vietnam Korea even the first Iraq war if they feel that their care was adequate. What about their mental health?

It does not matter what parties president they suffered under the point is that Government is incapable of running health care.

There are at least six versions of this bill out there. Only one version has been voted out of one committee in the house. So for you "know" what is in the bill is just falling for the propoganda.

What do you think this healthcare plan will do (either positive or negatively) for you and your family?

Maybe some healthcare but probably nothing now. I am basically bankrupt, ruined, and doomed. So cynical now that I am wondering if I should even bother to do volunteer stuff.... or even care about much of anything anymore. Basically my life plan is to live long enough to get this child into college, and after that it is; extreme BASE jumping, extreme skydiving, extreme rock climbing, and anything else that looks like fun - no matter what the risk. The odds of doing that sort of thing will catch up to me fairly quickly (especially at my age). This sort of thing runs in the family and I'll just ramp it up a couple of notches. Sort of a suicide via adrenilin rush.
