Calling it one of the most endangered fish species is a huge exaggeration.

The problem appears to be with illegal fishing. Maybe Al talked to the restaurant owner to ensure the fish his family was eating was legal.

Good info but why do we assume that this rehearsal dinner was planned by Al Gore?

Ahem, it turns out that the fish "had come from one of the world's few well-managed, sustainable populations of toothfish, and caught and documented in compliance with Marine Stewardship Council regulations."

I sincerely apologize for getting everyone's panties in a bunch over this. I'm an immature individual, and have much to learn from certain left-leaning elders on this site. I need to take everything more seriously from now on, especially when it concerns St. Al. I've come to the realization that Al should be able to live in a mansion and take private jets around the country, because he at least preaches the word. Words are more important than deeds, no question. Nothing is funny at all about Al Gore, and any attempt to make jokes at his expense is really beyond the pale.

    Again, sorry for the misinformation.

"If I did a Dan Gable (ala Al Gore), and advocated wrestling all across the country, would you call me a hypocrite because I set up a basketball net in the back yard for the kids or went to a basketball game? And if you did, your intent would be...?"

That example is not even close to analagous.

Still a valid criticism in the eyes of PETA (Prohibit Eating Toothfish Atweddings).

I am sure the only thing that Clone is concerned about is that we dont attempt to get rid of any sea bass that have illegaly immigrated into US waters.

Steven Wright would pay you to use that line in his standup routine.
