I agree. Whe she opens her mouth she make "W" look like a Rhodes Scholar . . . but would it kill you to replace the expletive with something that would make us look a little more classy. No, it doesn't offend me, but I'm proud to be a part of this message board and it doesn't help the image of wrestling when parents and younger kids hear us talk like this.

My Dad liked Palin, and he said that this seems like the type of move you make when you're trying to hide something, like maybe she was busted doing bad things, and agreed to step down if it was kept quiet?

She would make a ton of dough penning some book and on the lecture trail. It's something she couldn't do from Ancorage and her appeal in 2 years won't be anything near what it is now.

That's my stab at it, cashing in the chips while they're still on the table.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

I always thought that she wasn't McCain's choice, but a party maneuver. He didn't seem real happy about it at the press conference when they announced it. My guess is that his choice would have been Lieberman.

In that case, it makes you wonder what the party leaders were thinking. With respect to Palin, and her appearance on the national stage, it looks like the Peter Principle may be relevant.

I think you are right, i think it was an attempt to pull in the female vote. However, i don't think it would have mattered who McCain picked he still would have lost. He ran a terrible campaign and Obama ran a great campaign.

For the sake of debate do you think Lieberman would have accepted? Even though he is now an independent he still votes/has voted over 90% (if i remember correctly) with Democrats.

I couldn't venture to read Lieberman's mind but it appears that he and McCain both revel in the "maverick" label. On top of that, Vice President is something that would be appealing for a lot of reasons.

On the flip-side, I think regardless of what McCain wanted to do, he was going to follow with what many in his party wanted....and I don't think any Republicans would have been happy with Leiberman.
Your ignorance is painful to witness.....
