What I find hard to believe is anything I hear on talk radio. I also find it hard to believe that anyone else believes what they hear on talk radio.

So what do you believe, matclone?

Do you only believe what your elected politicians tell you to believe? Do you only believe what you read on the internet?

The gentleman, Thom Hartmann, is a huge Obama supporter. He is probably even left of Obama on the political spectrum. I have/had no reason to not believe what he said.

I'm quite sure you would love Thom's show. In my opinion, it's by far the best talk radio show from anyone on the left.

I would concur with this statement, but his ability to deliver a speech has little to do with his prsidential performance, which I am sure we differ greatly on.

I heard something about his also (but wasn't paying attention very closely), I got the impression that the reporter in question had been raising a certain question(s?) in his articles/columns and was brought in to ask the president directly.

The discussion (it was on NPR) mentioned that is pretty common for presidents to have a pretty good idea what type of question each reporter is likely to ask before calling on them.

My criticism of talk radio, and the reasons thereof, is well documented on these pages. In my book, most talk radio has about as much credibility as a radio or television infomerical.

It's generally not against the law to tell lies on the radio.

You are, of course, free to have your own views shaped by propaganda. Clear Channel Communications, Inc. loves you.

So what do you believe? What you read at Huffington Post? What moveon.org emails you? Where do you get reliable information?

Armyfan, in otherwords Matclone doesn't agree with them so they are wrong and full of propoganda although he hasn't never been able to really articulate where they are wrong.

Of course he will read/listen/watch/post left leaning sources and spout the lefts talking points but that is just the truth and not propoganda.

This argument is getting very old Clone

In the interest of answering the best questions and not being there all day, I might do the same thing. The problem is having to presubmit a question before the President says what he has to say. Wouldn't what he says have some bearing on the questions? Or do the reporters get a script beforehand? Just askin'.

Neither of you (ArmyFan, Chance) have been able to identify any of my "left leaning sources" (villains) and of course you insult me (probably intended) by insinuating that I rely on talking points or lift my opinions from these unidentified sources. Even though I've specifically mentioned before to Army Fan that I don't read Huffington Post, he repeats his assertion that I do. And even though I've spelled out specific criticisms of talk radio, they are apparently for naught because Chance tells me that I cannot articulate why "they" are wrong. Of course, talk radio audiences are not known for their long term memory, or for much memory at all. One the best things I ever read on these forums, I think by JeffrIdeal, was his remark that someone's views were shaped by "whatever they last heard on talk radio".
