The theme of the article is: I should fear any government involvement in health care specifically, and regulation in general. The support for that theme is sort of vague and non-specific. It's clear, however, that I have something to fear. The doctor is presumably paid good money to espouse this point of view.

Flogging, would you really prefer that? Think about it. If an insurance company (and its employees) continually makes decisions denying health care, customers will drop them and find a new insurance company.

If the government, who also is faced with similar cost constraints, continually makes decisions denying health care, those customers have no place to go.

Clone, do you honestly have no concerns? Have you put all your faith in the government to solve your problems?

Seriously, you are perfectly comfortable with Obama's plan to revamp health care in this country? You're not concerned with costs? Bureucracies? Rationing? Anything?

I'd bet that most people are going to stick with whatever health plan their employer provides.

Insurance companies don't make money by covering costs.

There is no perfect plan to address health care, if you want to provide minimum care for all.
Cost have to go up, rationing has to be a part of the solution.

As long as private insurers are still around, people will still have the option not to use the government plan.

Have you heard of a better proposed solution?

I haven't heard an argument agains the Swiss (or Swedish) univeral health insurance model, which still sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
