Both Bushy Bean and Obamarama placed too much emphasis on treating symptoms and not the problem, adjustable rate mortgages. Had the initial emphasis targeted flipping the ARMs into fixed rates early on, the foreclosure crisis would not have been as bad. Let's face it, they pushed fixed rate mortgages down to the low ARM rates of 03 and 04 anyway, but it was too late to save most people as the axe fell on employment too swiftly to be meaningful.

Residents in certain certain states like NJ, NY, CA and FL are going to get whacked by the double whammy, increases in local property and income taxes as well as federal tax increases.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

That's where you're so terribly wrong. Obama has/had several choices and he's making the wrong one at every turn (in my opinion). He could have stepped into office and immediately made drastic cuts to the size of the government, reducing spending. He could cut taxes on business in an attempt to grow the economy (raising tax revenues). On the contrary, he's taking the exact opposite approach -- he's growing the government, spending like crazy, and increasing the national debt. The economy is shrinking and will continue to shrink as Obama continues to tax the most productive individuals and businesses in the country.

Rather than slam a new President who is in his first 6 months, why don't you share that you probably supported Bush 98% of the time and never once bitched about the deficit.

Mr military dude, do you think the trillion dollars sunk into an unjustified invasion of Iraq might have something to do with it? Absolutely. That was the beginning of Bush fucking over our country. Real patriotic, wouldn't you say?

The premise of your question is false (or at a minimum, debateable), so it's difficult to answer your question. Is our work in Afghanistan equally "unjustified" (your word) as our work in Iraq?

The "trillion dollars" we've spent in Iraq is a pittance compared to what Obama will waste on his social agenda here in the United States.

For the record, I did gripe about how much money the government spent during Bush's two terms. We had record tax revenues during Bush's tenure (mainly due to tax cuts leading to large GDP growth leading to increased tax revenues) yet we did not pay down any of our debt.

Are you a prognosticator, ala Nostrodamus?
Did Obama wrest control of the government from Congress, or did I miss something?

    .

Even if this had a remote chance of being true (which I do not believe), where would you prefer the U.S. throw its money?.....
Your ignorance is painful to witness.....

If people can praise a new president in his first 6 months then you can "slam" the president.

By the way good redirect to the past administration which if you were so partisian you would know most republicans didn't like the way he spend money and increased the deficit. If Bush did it and it was bad then how is it good when Obama does it?

Then you pull a classic "Lefty" move and go to the Iraq war. You were probably one of those that chanted "Bush lied people died". Now that would be an interesting conversation how exactly did Bush Fuck over our country. Most people like you can't really articulate the how because your hatred drives your thinking.
