    Default Greatest Dracula movie

My choice is Nosterafu (1925 or so). Yes, it is a silent film, made in Germany. When I was a kid at the drive-in with my parents, I saw a clip of the scene where Max Schrek (the actor) is coming out of the ship's hold. It gave me nightmares for a long time. 40-odd years later, when I saw this film, I realized where that came from.

You'd like "Shadow of the Vampire." In it, Willem Dafoe (one of my favorite actors) plays Max Schrek in the filming of Nosferatu. The implication is that Schrek is actually a real vampire and is killing members of the cast and crew.

Has to be Dracula 1931. Nobody is better than Bela Lugosi(sp)
