It seems back in the winter, The Pack offered him 20 mil over 10 years to retire in lieu of his 20 mil contract that runs through 2010. It seems discussions stagnated. All of sudden they are back on track and guess what, Farve is back talking to them. $20 mil to staf off the field. It's really no different than the golden parchutes offered top tier execs to take a hike these days.

To the non-Green Bay fan (e.g. me), I have to say Brett F. looks a bit foolish. I think he is a sure-fire HOFer, yet to me he seems a bit silly now, having made such a big deal over retiring last year. I recall the tears and I recall the certainty with which he exclaimed, “It’s over”. Now he has changed his mind. He is certain entitled to change his mind, but in doing so, he still has certain contractual obligations. What was Green Bay to do? Wait around and see if he might change his mind? As a non-insider, and as a non-GB fan, Brett F. seems a bit foolish. As usual, the opinions express do not necessarily reflect those of anyone else.ffice ffice" />>>

My thoughts exactly. He had his swan song last year and had a good year. Why not go out with grace and dignity? Maybe he should try acting. He sure had me fooled with all of those tears at the retirement press conference.

He wants to play so it's either pay $20 mil to watch you guys on the tube or let me on the field. Also, if the Pack opted to sit him for $20 mil, he'd have a breach of contract case and an NFL Union grievance. Just more negative pub for The Pack. Kripees the fans want him in action so let him don the uniform.

He was so bad in "Something About Mary", it was painful to watch, maybe he could try singing or dancing.

If you think Favre is looking anywhere near as foolish as Green Bay at this point, you're wrong. Early on he screwed up with the interview, but since then, BIG advantage to Favre.
