I use this very example to illustrate language and culture. With that said, there's one more to add (I guess that's the "other" category): soft drink.

Well its a regional thing so depending on where most posters are from that will be the majority.
I know people in the southwest call it coke, as in referring to any soft drink as coke regardless of what brand. |

Cool map. I grew up in a place (Western Pennsylvania) where 80 to 100% called it "Pop", and now I live in a place (suburb of San Francisco) where 80 to 100% call it "Soda".
I've never heard anyone out here call it "Pop". |
