I hear it called "cola" on occasion around here (North Carolina) so that's probably one of the "others" indicated on the NC map

we're an interesting state on that map - a wide variety and not really concentrated in large areas.

We call it pop around here, but many just call it by the brand and leave out the soda or pop.

I remember being confused when I first visited my sister at Eastern Kentucky and the waitress asked my what kind of coke I wanted. When I asked her to explain, she said, "you know, mountain dew coke, sprite coke......" We thought it was hilarious.
