Ours was $205, we have a 4 bed 2 bath, elec range and dryer, 2 adults 4 children. We do about 4 loads of laundry everyday. Also lots of power tools in my work shop.

Ours runs about $100 per month, until summer. Last month was $170 - we had some really hot weather (100 plus highs) and the utility co charges more in the summer. Also, all three daughters were home so the laundry, lights, etc. needs were greater. Probably the two biggest electric drains in our home are the air conditioning and the pool pump. We figure the AC costs us about a buck a day to run. $400 seems awfully high. Maybe you need to turn off the grow-lights in the basement.

well we live in a three story house so our bill is almost always high. we have an air conditioning unit for each floor. so our normal bill id say is around 400-500 a month but it hikes up to around 600 a month in the summer. i can even remember my mom freakin out last summer cus it got up to around 740!
