The Phils added Blanton which should add much needed depth. Should be a good race down the rest of the way, but Im confident the Mets will choke again.
Are you on the Mets Grips? One of my biggest pet peeves is people who say "we" as if they are part of the team. Soo many people do it, and it annoys the crap out of me.

Mets fan here as well. The Mets need to pick up some bull pen help before the trade deadline. I have no faith in Schoenweis, Heilman has been disappointing this year, Sanchez is hot/cold, and while Wagner is solid he still has a few hiccups now and then.
I think the offense is finally starting to produce like they should have been all year. They also need to pick up a corner outfielder because I don't think they can rely on Alou coming back healthy.
Phils and Mets should go back and forth the rest of the summer with the Mets pulling it out in September this year. Jerry Manuel picks up the manager of the year award.
I tend to think that the people actually playing a bit more important. I think the current Mets team would fare better in an empty stadium vs. any other team than a packed house would w/ nobody on the field.
