Too bad the Mets have no heart. Otherwise, they may have been able to bounce back from that loss to the Phillies and get a come from behind victory in the late innings last night.

Even the lowly pirates will a few in september.

True (about even the worst teams will win some games), but if you want to say that the 8-7 loss was devastating and a harbinger of future negative results, you have to give just as much positive credit to winning the next game against the same team in come from behind fashion with timely hitting and a show of grit (both things the prior game supposedly showed to be lacking).
By the way, PJ, you're from New Jersey and headed to Denver after living in Chicago, right? So ... what team do you follow/support?

So ... what team do you follow/support? | I support the Phillies my man, I wasnt just attacking the mets for no reason. I am from south jersey abou 20 minutes from the Walt Whitman so I am fan of all Philly sports. Of course no Philadelphia team has won a championship since I have been alive so that has made things fun. |
