Read both as well, Bouton's when it was published, then
Pennant Race much later. I thought former Michigan Wolverine Bill Freehan's
Behind the Mask was also as or more telling then the other two as far as drug stories. BTW, Freehan's roomie the year the book was penned (1969) was former Ohio State quarterback and Tiger starting pitcher Joe Sparma, proving that Wolverines and Buckeyes can co-exist peacefully.
