What?s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family? - my grandfather was a career Marine, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was part of the Chosin Reservoir campaign in Korea and attends the "Chosin Few" reunions every year. 2 weeks ago for his birthday he was at a dinner honoring the Commandant of the Marine Corps. During the Commandant's speech, he recognized my grandfather for his many years of service and sacrifice.

What’s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family? My grandmother broke up with my grandfather prior to WWII because she didn't want to be tied down to someone that could die and then told him that he was lucky she was still single after the war...
